My Story
Brandon Bailey's baseball career is a testament to talent, resilience, and hard work. Born and raised in the competitive sports environment of Broomfield, Colorado, Coach Bailey quickly made a name for himself at Broomfield High School. As a junior, he not only led his team to the state championship with an impressive 11-0 record, a 1.02 ERA, and 116 strikeouts but also earned the prestigious title of the Colorado State Player of the Year. His senior year saw him recognized as an Under Armour Preseason All-American, further cementing his reputation as a standout athlete.
Coach Bailey's academic and athletic journey continued at Gonzaga University, where from 2014 to 2016, he pitched for the Bulldogs while earning a Bachelor of Education degree in Sport Management, complemented by a minor in Public Relations. His time at Gonzaga was marked by remarkable achievements, including a 10-3 record and a 2.42 ERA with 125 strikeouts during his junior season, ranking him third in the university's history for single-season strikeouts. Coach Bailey's exceptional 2016 season earned him first-team All-WCC honors, second-team All-West Region recognition, and a spot on the Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list. Notably, his 17 strikeouts in the 2016 WCC Championships is a tournament record and a win at the NCAA regional tournament against Arizona State underscored his prowess on the mound.
Coach Bailey was drafted in the 6th round of the 2016 MLB First Year Player Draft by the Oakland A's and longtime Athletics scout, Jeff Coffman. He began his Minor League Baseball journey by playing for the Vermont Lake-Monsters, Beloit Snappers, and Stockton Ports during the 2016 & 2017 seasons.
